PMS colors
, so too when printing greaseproof paper. What is the difference?

‘Coated’ colors are used when printing on a smooth, non-absorbent surface, such as plastic or paper with a coating (glossy layer). Uncoated colors are used when printing on paper without a gloss layer, for example, so the ink is absorbed more by the substrate as is also the case with greaseproof paper.

Behind a color code is often a C or U, so these refer to “coated” or “uncoated.

Our designer converts a color code to an uncoated color code upon request, because for greaseproof paper you use an uncoated PMS color.
